Silverfall back with new single and video

MEXBOROUGH'S best kept musical secret, Silverfall are back with a new single and video, which concentrates on the soaring vocal talents of singer Jen Bailey. They bring their sophisticated alt.country sounds to Wath's Montgomery Hall on Saturday and to Sheffield on November 10.

Silverfall formed in 2006, and have progressed quickly, with Jenny and the band supporting the likes of Ed Harcourt and picking up fans by the bucket-load - a recent fan-made video picked up a staggering 16,000 plays within a week of its upload on YouTube, jumping into the top 10 most viewed for the week.

'Movies' is the first single to be lifted from the band's forthcoming debut album 'Ten Years of Talk in Mexico City', and it buzzes with potential. Released on Tired House Recordings, the track (backed by a cover of Your Loving Arms) was produced by Ian Grimble, who has previously worked with KT Tunstall, The Beautiful South and Texas. Jenny's voice remains the focal point.

The promo video is currently available on Youtube and features Jenny running her own cinema.

Silverfall's Wath gig starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, while their Sheffield showcase will begin at 8pm on November 10 at The Harley. For more information you can visit the band online at www.myspace.com/silverfallmusic.
