Acorn Stout is a Winter Ale winner
WOMBWELL’S Acorn Brewery has another gong to add to its growing collection.
As the company prepared for its first beer festival at Barnsley, its Gorlovka Imperial Stout was declared among the UK’s top beers at the Camra National Winter Ales festival in Manchester.
The bronze award-winning ale features in the four-day festival at Market Hill, Barnsley, that runs from today, February 2 to February 6.
Gorlovka was among more than 20 cask-conditioned ales plus continental bottled beers, ciders and craft keg beers.
Acorn’s managing director Dave Hughes said their beer festival is not only to showcase their own beers, but to feature other top brewers’ award-winning beers as well.
