New talent is needed for music and drama festival
THE organisers of the 65th Co-operative Youth Music and Drama Festival are calling for talented young entrants.
The event sponsored by the Co-operative Group, is held at The Emmanuel Methodist Church, Huddersfield Road, Barnsley, from Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13, 2011

It is always a popular event, showcasing the talents of hundreds of young drama and music enthusiasts in an array of classes for individuals, duos, ensembles and larger groups and choirs.
Whilst the festival is held in Barnsley, many of the competitors and schools travel great distances – from as far afield as Whitby in North Yorkshire – to be part of this prestigious and fun event.
