Harry on down to the O2... Blondie are back!

Fans of 70s and 80s New York band Blondie should be going "atomic" with the news the legendary new wave popsters are coming to South Yorkshire.

Fronted by iconic platinum blonde Debbie Harry, the multi-million-selling group are bringing their first new album for six years, Panic of Girls, as well as their best-loved hits to the O2 Academy in Sheffield.

Harry, a former Playboy Bunny, is now 64 - but she can still steal a show with her stage presence as she belts out the tunes that turned her band into a mainstream chart success from their early beginnings as a punk rock outfit.

The original line-up of Harry, guitarist Chris Stein and drummer Clem Burke will be appearing and hopefully playing plenty of their biggest hits which include Heart Of Glass, Atomic, Call Me, Rapture and Denis-Denis, to name just a few.

The show takes place on June 17 and starts at 7pm. Tickets are 35, and are available from.o2academysheffield.co.uk
