Free art show streets ahead

A FREE exhibition of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s internationally renowned collection of contemporary street art prints, is being hosted by The Gallery@Barnsley Civic.

The exhibition including names such as Banksy, D*Face, Eine, Miss Tic, Shepard Fairey and Swoon runs from Thursday, January 27 – Friday, March 18.

It showcases established and emerging street artists, both British and international, exploring the recurring themes such as historic and current subjects, traditional methods of image making and styles familiar from art history.

Street art prints are an interesting development in the medium of printmaking and urban art. Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.
