Foster Care Fortnight got off to a flying start with four people coming forward wanting to foster. A member of North Lincolnshire Council’s foster team will arrange to visit them as the next stage in the application process.

It’s not too late to find out if you are suitable to foster. The council has organised some information events, including one in Crowle, where people can go along, have an informal chat over a coffee and find out how they can become a foster carer.

The council is currently looking for homes for children of different ages and abilities.

If you think you’ve got what it takes and would like to know more, you can:

Attend the Regional Food Festival at Normanby Hall Country Park on Sunday 18 May (10.30am to 4.30pm). Look for the ‘Fostering’ stand.

Attend the information evening on Wednesday 21 May at Crowle Children’s Centre, Manor Road (5pm to 8pm).

Attend the pop-up shop every day until 24 May between 10am to 4pm at 3 The Market, High Street, Scunthorpe.

To find out more go to www.northlincs.gov.uk/fostering or call the Fostering Team on 01724 297024 (during normal office hours).
