TWO of Britain’s finest laughter machines, Andy Zaltzman and Dan Antopolski, share one stage in the Assembly Room, The Civic, this Saturday, (May 28).
Oxford classics graduate – and Art Garfunkel lookalike – Andy Zaltzman, is a rising comic star with a deadpan delivery and dry comic wit.He is the star of the worldwide smash hit podcast, Radio 4’s Andy Zaltzman’s History Of The Third Millennium, and (sporadically) The Now Show.
He has also written for several series of Bremner, Bird and Fortune, and is author of the 2008 book, Does Anything Eat Bankers? And 53 Other Indispensable Questions For The Credit Crunched.
Fellow comedian, Dan Antopolski, has also quickly built himself a reputation for being one of the most inventive, intelligent, edgy and unusual comics to emerge in years, since winning the BBC New Comedy Award in 1998. He is a Dave Award winner, triple Perrier Award nominee, and BBC New Comedy award winner. His surreal flights of fancy have delighted both critics and comedy audiences alike.
