Send us a video

THERE is still time to enter our Search For A Star contest and win your place in the limelight.

Do you just love to dance, or have a singing voice that stops people in their tracks?

Maybe you're a stand-up comedian who has them falling about with laughter or have an unusual party piece you would like to share with the world.

Well, if you are an amateur performer, now is your chance to shine.

To win an opportunity to take centre stage in front of the audience in the live final of our glittering talent contest you just need to send a film clip to our website.

South Yorkshire Times Editor Jim Oldfield said: "I know the Dearne is full of talented people of all ages and here at the Times we want to help them reach a wider audience.

"Our website is fast becoming the most popular place to check for the latest local news and information so it provides a perfect launch-pad for the area's stars."

To enter send us a video of you performing your act and we'll upload it onto our website at www.southyorkshiretimes.co.uk

It can be anything at all - but bear in mind our family audience so please keep any audition clips clean.

Email your clips to us at editorial@dearnetoday.co.uk. They must be in wmv. format so they can be uploaded onto our website.

A panel will judge the entries later in the year - and we'll be organising a talent show where all the best entries will strut their stuff in front of an audience.

So what are you waiting for - send us your clips now and who knows, you could be the star of the show!
