THE Isle village of Haxey - and its famous Hood event - will both feature in an exhibition due to open at the Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby next week.

‘Glimpses of Rural Lincolnshire’ opens on Tuesday, January 24, promising an insight into places, traditions and colourful characters from across the whole county.

The exhibition will feature photographs, paintings and first hand accounts of Lincolnshire’s rural history, including the world famous Haxey Hood which took place earlier this month.

It will run until Sunday, April 8, and entry is free. The venue is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
