Doncaster bingo club pays out £300,000

A DONCASTER bingo club has made a bumper start to the year after paying out £300,000 prize money in just one month.

Mecca Doncaster in East Laith Gate has seen January prove to be a lucky month for customers taking part in all bingo games at the club.

General manager Sarah Whittaker said: “To pay out more than £300,000 worth of prize money to our customers in just one month is fantastic.

“January is normally a quiet month after all the Christmas and New Year celebrations but our customers have kept the party going with so many big wins.

“I think there must be something in the water at Mecca Doncaster that brings customers luck.”

News of the club’s lucky streak comes as it is announced that the company paid out £39.7 million to customers in Yorkshire throughout 2012 - contributing to a national online, mobile and club total of almost £324 million.
