A Doncaster woman is hoping a charity concert will get the cash rolling in to say ‘thank you’ to a local hospital.

Andrea Lee, of Conisbrough, has worked with friend Colin Rufus, to organise a Stars in Their Eyes night at the Ivanhoe Working Men’s Club, Conisbrough, on Saturday, March 1 starting at 8pm.

It’s free entry but donations will be asked for and raffle tickets will be on sale, with all proceeds being donated to Windermere Lodge, an older people’s mental health unit, at Tickhill Road Hospital, Doncaster, which is run by Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

Andrea wants to raise money for the Lodge to say thank you for the care they gave her father-in-law who suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Folk are invited to simply turn up to the event on the night.

Andrea said: “It will be a really good night and every penny raised will go to Windermere Lodge to say ‘thank you’ for the support the family received when they cared for my father-in-law, who sadly recently died.”
