Excitement is building for the annual Auckley Show.

The free event, that takes place on Saturday August 17 this year, features a wide range of live entertainment, stalls and exhibitions and this year is set to be bigger and better.

The Main Marquee will play host to the Armthorpe Elmfield Brass Band, vocalist Vinny Dean and to entertain the younger ones Mr Magic and Andy the Clown will be on hand.

Judging of the Horticultural and Produce Exhibits will take place at 11am and the auction of unclaimed entries at 4pm.

A second Marquee will be dedicated to a range of craft stalls.

Around the Show Field visitors can enjoy show jumping, donkey rides, fun dog show, a duck race down the river, children’s sports, tug of war, classic cars and tractors, car boot sale and much more. The annual beer festival hosted by The Idle Brewery will also be on site.

The event takes place at Riverside Park, Off Ravenswood Drive, Auckley.
