HAVING taken a two-year sabbatical, Yorkshire's Beautiful South have reformed as New Beautiful South, and have announced a show at Plug, Sheffield on Friday, November 20.
Featuring Dave Hemingway and Alison Wheeler (vocals), David Stead (drums), Damon Butcher (keyboards), Gary Birtles and Tony Robinson, the band will introduce their new guitarist and bass player on stage.
Special guest will be Sandi Thom whose unique voice and sound made a big impact on the UK's swelling nu-folk scene following the release of her Number 1 single I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (with Flowers in My Hair).
Formed 20 years ago, the band has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, packed out stadia and arenas and had a string of hit singles – such as Old Red Eyes Is Back, Rotterdam and Don't Marry Her.
Tickets are priced at £20 and are on sale via the box office on 0871 230 1101
