KNIGHTS In Battle Medieval Society (KIB) will be performing a 13th Century Feast of Arms at Conisbrough Castle on Sunday, 31st August 2008.

The Feast of Arms is a series of individual combats using a variety of medieval weaponry – a tournament without sides, as every knight is out to prove their own skill.

Inbetween the combat displays, the public will be able to handle the weapons and armour and meet the re-enactors.

Knights In Battle is a Sheffield-based medieval re-enactment group formed in 1973. All weapons and armour are authentic steel replicas, and the fighting style is high-energy and very exciting.

This is the last special event arranged by Conisbrough Castle this year. The castle has been returned to English Heritage management by the Ivanhoe Trust, so the future of events at the castle is unknown.
