THE long summer holidays are here and Rotherham's Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham has risen to the challenge with a host of activities.
This week the fun continues week with Bubble workshops. The workshops are the second week of a changing six week hands-on experience programme and will take place Monday-Friday 1pm–4pm. Throughout the week there is the opportunity to ride the zip wire at Magna and experience the forces and motion as you slide down the cable.
The Eye for Colour exhibition continues exploring the fascinating science of colour and how it influences the world around us in ways you've never realised before; view the world through the eyes of a dog; uncover the meaning of your favourite colour; dress-up in camouflage and learn how to disguise yourself like an animal; get creative and design your own masterpiece on the Art Machine, and see just how tasty blue sausages and green bacon look in The Colour Café!
Also this week, in the Magna shop, beat the credit crunch with the Steel Savers Day, where visitors can claim 10% off all purchases in the shop on Monday and all members can claim 15% off. Magna is open late every Thursday during the 6 week holidays 6-9pm with access to the bar and refreshments available.
Adults can play for free this summer in Sci-Tek, Magna's Hi-Tek Science and Technology Playground and in Aqua-Tek, the outdoor water play area. Tickets are available for just the outdoor areas to which adults and children under 18 months will get in free.
