THIS year's Barnsley BOMfest has been declared a huge success by the organisers.
Organiser Dave Hancock told the Times the event, held in Locke Park for the first time, attacted more than 3,500 people, despite the rain which dampened much of the evening performances on the four stages.

Said Dave: "Although there can never be enough volunteers to clear up the litter, the parks department of the council were delighted with how clean we left the site. BOMfest is about providing a decent standard of entertainment and trying to inspire the young 'uns to get into something creative."
