Bought a deal for Tonys Fish Bar Attercliffe from Deal monster. Two large fish and chips for two , valid until 11-2-13.
Went to redeem the voucher, the lady over the counter was so angry that she shouted why should I have to honour these vouchers when i took over a week ago.
She then slapped a disgusting small portion of fish and chips into the wrapper which was unedible.
I am very disappointed to be treated in this way as it was no fault of mine.
I have paid good money to be shouted at.
The service was discraceful, never again, go elsewhere.

So disgusting I left them in the shop. That's a first for me and I was HUNGRY!
Soggy.
Greasy.
Measly.
Unfriendly.
Dirty.
The worst fish & chips I have ever had the misfortune to purchase - by a country mile.
These people should not be serving food to the public.
The sooner it closes down the better.
I had to give one star but actually it should be NONE!

The quality & service of the food was definitely 5 Star. It was hot, generous portion size & pleasantly served. The fish batter was light & crispy, chips tasty & the mushy peas really yummy. The staff were eager to please & are obviously trying really hard to make the business work.
We ate in the cafeteria side and the decor does look tired but this is the only thing that lets it down slightly. Don't let this minor comment put you off a visit because the food & hospitality speak for themselves.
Good look in your venture, you deserve success. We will return!

I sat in the restaurant with my girlfriend and the service was great. The fish & chips were the best I have had for quite a while. It was really busy but the staff were still very friendly. I had plaice, chips & peas – really enjoyable meal. They used to be called Robin Hood Bay but now the food is even better.

They were running a special £2.50 fish & chips offer so I tried it. 95% of chips shops don’t impress me so I was naturally skeptical. I am glad I tried them because they are the best fish & chips I have had for quite a while. perfectly battered and fried fish – and a good size – for what most shops charge for a mini fish. The chips were perfect and decent portions. If you’re ever in the area – try them for yourself – you’ll know what good fish & chips should be like.
