A SERIES of discussion groups called "The Purpose Driven Life" is being held in the Church Rooms at St Michael and All Angels' Church every Thursday at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome to attend, admission is free and the hour-long sessions are aimed at giving an in depth introduction to Christianity for people who don't usually attend church, and a refresher course for those who do.
LUNCH of soup and a roll followed by tea and biscuits is served in the Fellowship rooms at St Michael and All Angels' Church, every Tuesday from noon –1.30pm, all welcome, price £1.50.

THE JAM Gang Youth Club for youngsters aged four to ten years
, meets in the Church Rooms at St Michael and All Angels' Church, Great Houghton, on Tuesdays 5pm-6.15pm during term times.

A BABY Cafe and Creche is open in the Church Rooms at St Michael and All Angels' Church, Great Houghton, on Thursdays 9.45-11.45am, admission £1.

ANYONE who fancies a leisurely stroll in the Great Houghton area is welcome to join the local walking group which meets at Great Houghton Methodist Church on High Street every Monday at 10.15am. For full details call 01226 341382.

A FRIENDSHIP Group meets at Great Houghton Methodist Church from 10-11.30am every Tuesday for coffee and various activities including bingo and the occasional outing.

A PRAYER meeting and Bible Study is held at Great Houghton Methodist Church every Thursday at 2.30pm.

AN OPEN House coffee morning is held at Great Houghton Methodist Church on Thursday mornings from 9.30-11am, all welcome.

HOUGHTON Main Male Voice Choir practice at Great Houghton Methodist Church on Monday evenings. They are always on the lookout for new members and anyone interested is welcome to turn up at 7pm for details.

BROWNIES meet at Great Houghton Methodist Church every Thursday evening during term times.
