MUSICAL Notes, with special guests Strata Brass, are performing their Summer Show at the Ivanhoe Centre tomorrow (Fri) at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the Community Office. Musical Notes then have concert arrangements for local charities before the summer close-down in August. Membership enquiries to Don Poulton, 01709 862480.
IVANHOE Centre Mums and Tots group will continue to operate throughout the school holidays each Monday and Friday from 9-11am. For further details contact Leader Diane Setters.

CONISBROUGH Community Association's annual outing on August 2 will be
to Cleethorpes. Seats are available at £5 each, children free. To book contact the Community Office on 01709 860764.

IVANHOE Centre will be holding an in-house dance on July 11 from 7.30pm. The association, under the jurisdiction of Centre Manager Olive Garner and Director John Jeffcote, is to run an additional three Saturday night dances as direct fundraising activities, proceeds for the Ivanhoe Centre.

STREET Vibes School of Dance has Monday classes in the Ivanhoe Centre from 4.15-7.15pm for children aged four to six and seven-11 and 12+. Anyone interested in joining the groups should contact Emma on 01709 308164, or the Community Office.

CONISBROUGH residents are in for a treat shortly for Mary Duff, the world renowned Irish folk singer is in concert at the Ivanhoe Centre.
Mary has been voted the Best Female Vocalist three times, along with the prestigious title of Best Female Country and Western Singer of All Time.

In June 2008, she reached number three in the American Billboard chart with her rendition of When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New. If you enjoy folk music, Irish music or Country and Western and haven't seen Mary, you haven't lived! Tickets are selling fast, so if you do want to witness this phenomenal female artist, ring the centre – 01709 861589 – to book your place. The concert is on Saturday, September 26.

DO you fancy bug hunting? If not, what about pond dipping? All this free fun is on offer at Mill Piece later this month, with the volunteer group Conisbrough Spirit. Youngsters will be invited to join in the fun of testing the water, fishing for tadpoles and much more.
