Youth group hoping for fundraising boost

A GROUP of big-hearted youngsters from Mexborough are raising money to treat themselves – after they worked tirelessly to raise £15, 000 for local charities.

Kidz Du Care is made up of young people aged 10 to 18 who have organised countless fundraising events in recent years to support a number of charities, including the Aurora Centre, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Glebe Field Riding for the Disabled.

Project leaders have now organised two fundraisers to help pay for a trip away to Alton Towers as a reward for all their hard work.

Youngsters will be selling items from a stall on Mexborough Market on Saturday, September 29, from 9am to 3pm. They will also be performing dance routines.

They will also be performing at Mexborough’s Main Street Club on October 13 from 7pm.

The show, entitled ‘We Are Young’, will feature a number of dance and music routines.
