Voter appeal

RESIDENTS in 22, 900 households in Barnsley will miss out on the chance to vote in the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner elections unless they return their voter registration forms.

Over the last two months, households in the borough have received an annual canvass voter registration form which must be returned to the council’s Electoral Services department by Wednesday, 31 October.

But thousands have not yet returned their forms and anyone who does not get them back to the council will not be eligible to vote in the commissioner elections on November 15.

Those who have not received, or have lost, the form can call Electoral Services on 01226 773070, email electoralservices@barnsley.gov.uk or print off a form at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
