Town’s history is revealed

editorial image

DONCASTER College students are helping to reveal the town’s history through pictures.

Students are printing glass plate negatives made over 100 years ago by local photographers Luke Bagshaw and Edgar Scrivens.

One student, Roberta Brackenbury, said: “It’s quite scary dealing with negatives that have a lot of history behind them because we’re aware they are irreplaceable.”

The photos are now on show at the college and anyone who can help identify contents within should email course leader Evan Wood on evan.wood@don.ac.uk
