Star guest at football club reunion

FORMER England star Frank Worthington will be the special guest at a reunion evening for anyone associated with Swinton Athletic FC.

Frank, who made eight international appearances, will speak about his career at the Park View Sports Bar and Restaurant on November 2.

Swinton Athletic Chairman, Andrew Billups, said: “Swinton Athletic has a long and illustrious history, and we feel it is only right to celebrate this.”

The club was founded in the 1940s and is one of the area’s most successful teams, having reached the Montagu Cup Final six times.

A limited number of tickets are on sale priced £10 per person, which includes a pie and pea supper.
