IT was pedal to the metal for a half-day charity cycle-a-thon.

Staff at the Yorkshire Grey pub had organised the 12-hour pedal session for bar supervisor Jamie Carr, who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer earlier in the year and wanted to give something back to the charity who had supported him.

Friends, family and staff each took 15 minute turns in a bid to raise money for the Doncaster Firefly Club which provided advice, support and daily transport for Adam to and from hospital during treatment.

Money is still coming in.
