So many spring lambs at Barnsley farm it’s just baa-rmy
Some of the lambs born at Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley.
THERE’S such a baby boom down on the farm they should rename the place Baa-rnsley.
Just take a trip to Cannon Hall Farm in Cawthorne if you need proof that spring has sprung.
That’s because the farm has seen the sudden arrival of more than 100 lambs .
And they all came along in the space of a frenetic four day period!
The last little lot to enter the world were quads born late on Tuesday night.

And it’s all making farmer Roger Nicholson a very tired man.
Roger admitted he’s exhausted by it all - and there’s more to come.
“In all my 70 years, I have never had four days like this,” he told The Star.
“It’s been hectic but we have all got stuck in and the lambs are really thriving.”
The ewe that gave birth to quads is a five-year-old Zwartble, a breed that originates in Holland. Other breeds kept at Cannon Hall Farm include Texel, Charollais and Bleu de Maine.
Roger said mum and all four of her babies are doing very well - and, with a little help from farm staff, she is managing to feed them all.
The farm lambs two batches of 200 sheep, the second of which is due at Easter.
They are timed to coincide with the annual Lambing Live event where the farm and cafe will stay open all night to give visitors an insight into a typical day and night for a working farm.
This year’s event, during the school Easter holidays, is on Thursday, March 28.
And Roger hopes he manages to get a few good nights’ sleep before the second onslaught...
