WORLD taekwondo champion Sarah Stevenson took time out of her training schedule to visit Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Doncaster-born Sarah, who read the athletes’ oath at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics, spent time meeting the children and their families, chatting with them and showing them her medals.

After a tour Sarah, aged 29, said: “I was really excited to come and visit the hospice and it was amazing to see all the facilities it houses and to meet the children.

“It was a very humbling experience and I was very inspired by the children I met there and their families.”
