Residents can sign up to car scheme

The door-to-door service is available to Bassetlaw residents who are unable to use any other forms of public transport.

It can be used to visit friends, shops, social clubs or attend doctor or hospital appointments.

Volunteer drivers allow users one hour and then take them home.

If the trip is going to be more than an hour there is an additional charge.

Residents must register to use the scheme and because volunteers use their own vehicles, it is not an on demand service and three to four day’s notice is needed.

For more information, or to make a booking, call the Bassetlaw Action Centre on 01777 709650 or the Misterton Centre on 01427 891872.
