Sir, Last year, more than half of all MEPs signed a Written Declaration calling for an immediate end to experiments involving great apes, as well as a timetable for the replacement of all non-human primates in scientific experiments.

Anyone wishing to see modern, effective, state-of-the science and an end to the terrible suffering inflicted on primates should contact Animal Aid to sign and send a campaign postcard to their MEP: 01732 364546 or info@animalaid.org.uk.
