GREEN-FINGERED Swinton school kids got their hands dirty to clean up a town beauty spot.

Year six pupils from Fitzwilliam Primary School weeded out flower beds around seating areas in the town precinct to make them ready to plant summer flowers.

Swinton councillors Ken Wyatt and John Doyle also mucked in to help them.

The school has tended to the flower beds since adopting them as their own four years ago.
