Pride in parks
ROSEHILL Park at Rawmarsh is one of five Rotherham parks to retain the Green Flag status.
On Tuesday, Rotherham Council celebrated this success by flying the flag from central Clifton Park.
Green flag status means that the five parks have demonstrated that they are welcoming, are healthy, safe and secure; clean and well maintained; are sustainable; and protect both conservation and heritage. Each park must also encourage community involvement and be well managed.
Urban parks Clifton and Bradgate, with Thrybergh and Rother Valley Country Parks, also made the grade.
Green spaces staff and rangers were congratulated by Rotherham Council’s cabinet members on their work.
