Police target antisocial Epworth youths

HUMBERSIDE Police are focussing on antisocial youth behaviour in Epworth.

Neighbourhhod officers are making this a number one priority after several reported incidents near St Andrew’s Church, Ivy Andrew Hall and Fountain Court.

There have also been complaints about criminal damage and litter.

Youths have been seen frequenting these areas during evening hours and particularly at weekends. Neighbourhood staff and incident response officers are now making regular patrols at the locations and any youths found behaving in a disorderly manner will be dealt with accordingly.

Police are encouraging young people to seek alternative recreational activities and officers are also urging parents to be aware of their children’s whereabouts.

Epworth Youth Club does not allow young people to come and go as they please and anyone found doing so will be returned to the venue and parents will be informed.

Any suspicious activity can be reported on the new non-emergency 101 number or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

• Officers arrested one male on January 20 for a public order offence and another male for criminal damage.
