Olympic fun
A WEEK of Olympic-themed activities is being planned to take place in Wath to celebrate the London 2012 Games.
Staff and customers at Oaks Day Centre are staging a number of sporting activities between Monday, July 30, and Friday, August 3.
This includes holding their own version of the games, which will see rival teams competing for bronze, silver and gold medals.
They will also be hosting an opening ceremony, complete with a parade of their own Olympic Torch through the town.
Centre manager Jeanette Green said: “We have divided our service users into six teams. Each team will have its own identity represented by, team colours, all team members wearing a large coloured rosette.” Both indoor and outdoor events have been organised.
