New sports course offer

KEEN ice hockey players are being given the chance to take a unique college course in their favourite sport.

Ice hockey club Sheffield Steeldogs have teamed up with Dearne Valley College to offer a BTEC Sports qualification, which also incorporates training on the ice.

The course, aimed at individuals aged 16-19, is full-time and consists of 16 hours study per week based at the ‘IceSheffield’ venue, with an additional five hours a week on the ice.
