FLYING Futures, a social enterprise involved in delivering Neighbourhood Alliance around Doncaster with South Yorkshire Police and Doncaster Council, has donated sports kit as a lasting legacy.

Neighbourhood Alliance has been travelling around Doncaster making improvements to communities over a three-week period, tackling issues such as littering and antisocial behaviour, and has visited Conisbrough, Cantley, Carcroft and Thorne.

Flying Futures supported the initiative by providing free activities, such as street art, samba drumming and football, for people aged 10 to 19 during the scheme and three weeks after.

Co-ordinator Shaun Ireland said: “We wanted to leave sports equipment for communities to encourage the youngsters to stay active and have a healthy lifestyle, and also as a reminder of the good work started by Neighbourhood Alliance.”
