Isle news in brief

NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

• A PETITION that people can sign in a bid to keep Citizens’ Advice Bureaux open for the use of people living throughout the Isle of Axholme, is at Westwoodside Post Office.

Plans to cut down on satellite citizens’ advice services and sessions at such locations as Thorne prompted the action. The petition is freely available to sign.

• THERE has been a change of plan for those who attend the chapel lunches organised regularly by members of Wroot Chapel.

Contrary to previous information that advertised a chapel lunch to take place on February 28, there will not be a lunch on that date, and further lunch dates for 2013 have not yet been finalised.

• A TALK and demonstration on holistic therapies will be given to Owston Ferry WI in the Coronation Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 20.

Maria Battye will deliver the demonstration and visitors will be welcome to attend the evening. There is a charge for non-members of £3. Refreshments will be provided.
