THE family of a rugby ace who died in a road accident have thanked folk for their support following its latest memorial event.

Scores of people turned out for the annual Kevin Parkhouse Memorial Sports Fund’s family fun day on Ryecroft Playing Fields, Norton, despite the heavy rainfall.

Organisers would like to thank everyone for supporting the cause which was set up by the family of Kevin ‘Parky’ Parkhouse, a former Dons rugby player, who died in 2006.

The memorial fund provides grants to help sports clubs in Doncaster develop young people in sport or individuals who need support in their sports careers.
