PUPILS were reunited at a school as they were recognised in a special awards ceremony.

Nearly 70 year 11 pupils from Balby Carr Community Sports and Science College collected awards in categories which included special school contributions and 100 per cent attendance.

The ‘Olympic Year’ theme was also part of the ceremony at the Weston Road site with bronze, silver and gold medals handed out to outstanding performers.

Mary Firth, learning community manager, labelled the group winners as ‘inspirational’ and said they gave the school its best ever results for year 11.

She added: “We are very, very proud of them.”
