residents are being asked to dig deep this festive season and buy an extra gift for children who would otherwise receive nothing.

Every year the Salvation Army hosts its annual ‘Toy Appeal’ at the Frenchgate Centre and until December 15, members of the public can drop off toys at the customer service desk.

The Salvation Army needs your help to make Christmas special for children, families and others who have little or nothing under the tree on Christmas morning.

All new, unwrapped toys and gifts are welcome and will be collected and distributed in your community in time for Christmas.

Martin Wileman, Community Services Manager, Salvation Army said: “We are delighted with the continued support that the Frenchgate Centre shows and we would like to thank members of the public in advance for donating any gifts”. The charity believes very child deserves a new gift at Christmas and therefore second hand items canott not be accepted.
