A FORWARD in Faith Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady at Egmanton for members of Goldthorpe Parish Church will take place next Wednesday. For details contact church members. Arrangements are also in hand for a pilgrimage to Walsingham on July 20.
A FORMER curate of Goldthorpe Parish Church, Fr Dickinson, has invited church members to a special event at his church, St Philip's and St James' Church in New Bentley today (Thurs) at 7pm to celebrate his 20th anniversary as a priest.
SPORTS Day will be held at Goldthorpe Sacred Heart School on Tuesday.
COURSES at Dearne Enterprise Centre include: Cookery classes on either Mondays or Thursdays 9.30-11.30am, Sugar Craft on Fridays from 9.30-11.30am, British Sign Language on Mondays 1-3pm and Spanish for Beginners on Wednesdays, 1-3pm. Please ring for details on 01709 881181 or call in.
DEARNE Enterprise Centre offers a wide range of basic skills and ICT courses. Full details can be obtained by either calling in or ringing 01709 881181. The centre is also offering a book borrowing facility in conjunction with the Library Service. There are two stands of children's and adult's fiction and non-fiction books available for loan.
SHOTOKAN Karate marshal arts and self-defence training with 3rd Dan Sensai Adrian Purcell is held at Goldthorpe Parish Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8.30pm.
KEEP in trim at Dearneside Leisure Centre by joining the Aquafit sessions every Thursdays from 6-7pm. Anyone aged from 16 years upwards is welcome. A Family Swim session is held on Fridays 4-5pm and Ladies Only sessions are held on Wednesdays 7.30-8.30pm and Fridays 5-6pm.
SWIMMING lessons are held at Dearneside Leisure Centre Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm and on Saturday mornings from 8.30am.
THE Study Support Group for eight to 16-year-olds at Goldthorpe Library meets during term times on Mondays and Thursdays from 3-5.30pm, Tuesdays from 3-5pm and on alternate Saturdays from 10am-noon. New members are always welcome.
