Get hooked on ducks at park

Rubber duck.

Rubber duck.

COMPETITIVE types will be able to fall hook, line and sinker for a fun contest that’s set to drive everyone quackers.

Sandall Park will be hosting its annual Hook A Duck Championships on April 4 when people of all ages will be able to have a splashing time trying to net scores of the colourful critters.

The event, organised by the Friends of Sandall Park Group, the organisation set up by a band of dedicated volunteers to look after the park, will take place from 11am to 1pm.

Last year’s event saw more than 500 people descend on the park for the fun contest and this year’s event will see trophies up for grabs for both junior and senior champions.

There will also be a free Easter egg hunt. Full details are available at www.sandallpark.org.uk
