Gentle introduction to computing

COMPUTER-shy adults have a new, free opportunity to find out how to use technology.

A gentle introductory course is on offer from Barnsley Council’s Adult Learning Service.

The free three-week taster course has been designed for anyone interested in learning basic computer skills. Learners will be able to develop skills, and learn how to use a mouse and keyboard to create Microsoft Word documents, format text, insert images, and save and print documents.

The course is available at the Wombwell Centre, Barnsley Road, Wombwell, on October 10, 17 and 24 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
