BLUEBELL Wood Children’s Hospice is set for a boost - through a charity gala in Doncaster today, Saturday March 23.

Around 25 businesses have been invited to The Boat Inn, Sprotbrough, to sell items ranging from works of art to cakes.

There will be a vintage items stall, a vintage hairdresser, and food.

A band and burlesque dancers will be performing, and there will be face painting and balloon modelling throughout the day and a children’s entertainer.

A children’s entertainer will be there too.

A raffle will also be held.

The event will be in a marquee and inside, so it will be dry whatever the weather, say organisers.

The gala is due to start at 11.30pm and will run until 5pm.
