Coffee morning for Macmillan

AN MP is backing Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting another coffee morning at his Wath constituency office.

The annual event on High Street usually raises around £500. It is part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising drive, which raises £8.5m.

John said: “I know many local people have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring, and I know Macmillan has been there to support many of those in need. So I am hosting another coffee morning and everyone is welcome to come along.”

The event is on September 28, 10am to noon with stalls, a raffle and a tombola. Any donations can be dropped off at the office Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. For more details phone 01709 875943.
