Clean up campaigners coming to Doncaster
Doncaster has been chosen as the location for a Keep Britain Tidy event this month.
The charity will be in the borough on Tuesday, March 12, to give campaigners across Yorkshire and the Humber an opportunity to have their say about Keep Britain Tidy’s plans for combating littering and improving the environments.
Deputy Mayor of Doncaster, Coun Cynthia Ransome, cabinet member with responsibility for fighting litter, said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Keep Britain Tidy and regional network members to Doncaster for this event. We take a tough stance on littering and environmental crime in Doncaster.”
Doncaster has signed up for Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Where You Live campaign to get people tidying up.
Andy Walker, supporter engagement manager for Keep Britain Tidy, added: “As a fantastic ambassador for Love Where You Live, Doncaster was an ideal location for one of our north of England roadshows, as part of a series of nine that we are organising across England.”
The event is at 5.30pm at Doncaster Racecourse. Log onto Keep Britain Tidy Road Show
