Cash boost from jubilee

THE Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations over the summer helped raise £900 for good causes.

The Haxey Parish Jubilee Committee was able to reveal the final amount raised from the celebrations as they handed equal shares of the money to Haxey Memorial Hall and Westwoodside Village Hall.

Committee member Janine Llewellyn said: “We would like to thank everyone that took part in the many events held over the weekend and to everyone who attended and joined in the celebrations to make the jubilee weekend such a great success.”

The figure was revealed at a meeting where members looked at photos from the weekend.
