Christmas lights at Lakeside Village.
Lakeside Village has announced that it is fully-let this Christmas as retailers take advantage of the high footfall that the centre generates.
That’s Entertainment filled the last available shop unit in October, completing the extensive offering of well-known brands including Costa, Adidas, Cadbury, GAP Outlet, M&S Outlet, Next Clearance and Jeff Banks.
New stores this year include Greggs, Nike Pop Up Store, Hallmark and The Gift Company.
Commenting on the announcement, Centre Manager Cheryl Sadler welcomed the news and said: “The announcement that Lakeside Village is fully-let in time for Christmas is a testament to the strong performance of the centre throughout 2012.
“We are pleased to be able offer savings in such a great range of outlet stores to our customers at this time of year.”
The news follows a campaign last year which saw retail gurus attempt to reduce the number of empty shops in Doncaster town centre.
Businesses were offered advice in an attempt to breathe new life into the town centre, after those behind the initiative said the area was amongst the highest nationally for the number of shops standing empty.
Insight With Passion say that 25 per cent of retail units in Doncaster are empty, compared to 14.7 per cent nationally.
