Aid given to charity

A FORMER South Yorkshire Times worker who lost his wife to Multiple Myeloma has raised money to help other sufferers of the disease.

Bernard Hobson asked for donations in lieu of flowers and raised £500 for Myeloma UK after his wife Hilary died aged 72 on Boxing Day.

Mr Hobson, of Wombwell, said: “Thank you to everyone who raised the money. It is going to a great cause.”

He worked in the Times’ printing department between 1955 and 1989.
