Advice for Isle businesses

BUSINESSES across North Lincolnshire have heard how the economic sector would benefit from Government plans to change the business rates system.

The Local Government Finance Bill is due to come into effect in April 2013 and as businesses grow, more money would be generated for the local economy.

These changes will give North Lincolnshire Council (NLC) an added incentive to support economic growth in the area.

Coun Neil Poole, NLC cabinet member for finance, procurement and IT services, said: “The changes will not alter the level of business rates that companies have to pay. But it will mean that if the business grows, we get more money back into our local economy.”
